Reassessment Simplified Procedures
On 1 January 2009, the criteria for the authorisations for the simplified declaration procedure and the authorisations for the local clearance procedure were changed.
Introduction
The new criteria are almost identical to the criteria for the AEO Certificate – Customs simplifications. All authorisations for the simplified declaration procedure and local clearance procedure must be compliant with the new criteria by 31 December 2011 at the latest. What does this mean for you?
Background
Harmonisation of cross-border authorisations within the European Union.
Reassessment
How will your authorisation be reassessed, and what is required from you? This depends on the type of authorisation.
New authorisation
Are you applying for a new authorisation for the simplified declaration procedure or the local clearance procedure? Then your company must comply with the new criteria for these authorisations.
Self-assessment
You must carry out the self-assessment as described under AEO assessment.
Review
Customs will review the self-assessment and examine the information about your company that is already in its possession.
