Export (ECS Exit)
Are goods leaving the customs territory of the European Union? That is only allowed if the goods are under Customs control. The arrangements in this regard are set out in this section.
Office of export
After an export declaration has been lodged, a Movement Reference Number (MRN) is assigned to the declaration. After the export declaration has been verified, Customs will release the goods for the export procedure
Office of exit - notification of arrival
The Export Accompanying Document (EAD) accompanies the goods, released for export, from the office of export to the office of exit.
Export followed up by transport
An export declaration may be followed up by a transport declaration (NCTS/TIR/CIM) or, in case of export of excisable goods, by an Administrative Accompanying Document (AAD).
Confirmation of departure from the EU
If the goods leave the EU by sea or by air, then the Trader at Exit (TaE) sends a Customs Manifest (Exit) to the office of exit
