How is the contribution calculated?
If you are compulsorily covered by social insurance schemes in the Netherlands, you must pay national insurance contributions as well.
You do not reside in the Netherlands
If you do not reside or have income in the Netherlands, you are basically not covered by the Dutch national insurance schemes.
Healthcare Insurance Act
The Healthcare Insurance Act also applies if you do not live in the Netherlands but if you are insured in the Netherlands for the Exceptional Medical Expenses Act.
