Brexit - how does it affect you?

Do you do business with the United Kingdom (UK)? Do you live or work there? It is possible that Brexit will involve some changes that affect you.

Transitional period until 31 December 2020

The UK left the European Union (EU) on 31 January 2020. A transitional period up to 31 December 2020 began on 1 February. During this period, the EU and the UK are negotiating a new trade agreement.

Until 31 December 2020, there will be no changes to your tax affairs and benefits.

After 31 December 2020

The EU and the UK will make agreements on their future relationship after 31 December 2020. It is not yet clear how this will affect your taxes and benefits. We will provide more information on this page as soon as it is known.
