Return messages for tax returns filed via the Tax and Customs Administration's Internet site (entrepreneurs)

When you file digital tax returns or declarations or submit other forms via Inloggen voor ondernemers (Log in for entrepreneurs - only available in Dutch), you will receive a reply from the Tax and Customs Administration.

  • Confirmation of receipt
    Once you have submitted a form then a confirmation of receipt will be displayed on the screen within 1 minute.
  • Error message
    When the Tax and Customs Administration is unable to receive your form an error message will be displayed on your screen. Follow the instructions given in the error message.

Note!

Your tax return has been filed at the time it is received by the Tax and Customs Administration. The date and time are stated in the confirmation of receipt.

List of tax returns and declarations

Once you have received the confirmation of receipt the 'List of tax returns and declarations' will also be updated within 1 minute. You can then view the time at which the tax return was filed and the manner in which it was filed.

E-mail

The Tax and Customs Administration will also send an e-mail to the e-mail address you stated within a few days after the receipt of the form. This e-mail is an extra message to confirm that the Tax and Customs Administration has received your form. When your tax service provider has submitted the form you will also receive an e-mail about that.

Note!

You will not receive an e-mail when you have not entered an e-mail address in the 'Gebruikersinstellingen' ('User settings') part of Inloggen voor ondernemers (Log in for entrepreneurs - only available in Dutch) and have not selected any messages.

Payment reference for daily and weekly excise duty and consumer taxes returns

Do you file daily and weekly excise duty and consumer taxes returns? If so, you will receive a payment reference in the secured section of the Internet site within 24 hours after filing the return.

You do not receive confirmations of receipt

If you have not received a confirmation of receipt (or the error message) after 1 minute then there is probably a problem with the Internet connection. You can then do the following. Check whether your Internet connection is working. In addition, check whether the Tax and Customs Administration is carrying out maintenance work on the secured section of the Internet site. You can access this information by logging in to the secured section of the Internet site via Inloggen voor ondernemers (Log in for entrepreneurs - only available in Dutch)'. When this is not the case then call the Tax Information Line.
