What are liquid assets?
Liquid assets include:
- banknotes or coins that are in circulation as a means of payment
- securities to bearer, not registered by name, such as shares and bonds
- valuables
- coins with a gold content of at least 90%, and
- bullion, such as bars, nuggets or slugs, with a gold content of at least 99.5%
Liquid assets are subject to the European declaration requirement if they have a combined value of € 10,000 or more.
