I have Dutch health care insurance
Do you pay Dutch health care insurance premiums or are you registered with the National Health Care Institute (Zorginstituut Nederland)? If so, you may be entitled to health care benefit. This is a contribution towards the costs of your Dutch health care insurance.
Conditions for health care benefit
These are the conditions for you and your possible benefit partner:
- You are 18 years of age or older. You have Dutch health care insurance. Or you are registered with the National Health Care Institute (Zorginstituut Nederland). If your partner has no Dutch health care insurance, only you will be entitled to health care benefit.
- Your (joint) income and capital are not too high.
- You have the nationality of an EU country, Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland or Switzerland. Are you from another country? In that case, you need a valid residence permit or work permit.
Applying for benefit yourself
You can apply for health care benefit yourself. Information about how to do this can be found under I want to apply for a benefit.
Submit any changes in time
Is there any change in the data used to calculate your benefit, such as your income? In that case, you have to submit this change to us. Information about how to do this can be found under I want to submit a change.
