Are you married, or are you a registered partner? Then you are tax partners. Do you live together without being married? Then you are tax partners when you meet specific conditions. Tax partners can file a tax return together. You may also be tax partners in a number of other situations. This will then influence how you must file your tax return.

It could be that, within 1 year, you meet the conditions for tax partnership with several persons.
Opting for tax partnership throughout the year
Do you have a tax partner during part of the year only? In that case, you may, in your tax return, opt to be considered as tax partners throughout the year.
Filing a tax return together with a tax partner
Do you have a tax partner throughout the year? Or do you opt to be considered as tax partners throughout the year? In that case, you must complete your tax return differently. This may have consequences for the tax you have to pay or will be refunded.
