How to object (international)

There are various ways to object:

  • by means of the Objection Check (Dutch only)
You can only use this tool if you have DigiD.
  • by means of the written objection form (Dutch only)
Download the form, fill it in and send it to us by post.
  • by means of your own letter
If you send a letter setting out your objection, please quote the number of the assessment you object to. Please explain the reason for your objection and always quote:
    • your name
    • your address and country of residence
    • your telephone number
    • the assessment number

Put the date and your signature at the bottom of the letter. Send the form or your letter to the following address:

Belastingdienst/Limburg/kantoor buitenland
Postbus 2865
6401 DJ Heerlen

Are you objecting to income that is used for an allowance, personal contribution or a benefit? In that case, send the form or your letter to:

Belastingdienst/Centrale administratieve processen
Postbus 2572
6401 DB Heerlen

Object in time

You have to object in time, that is, within 6 weeks of the date of the assessment. We will send you our decision within 6 to 12 weeks of receiving your objection.

If your objection arrives too late, we will treat it as a request for an ex officio reduction.

Postponement of payment
