Export declaration: an exporter is not required to be based in the European Union


Earlier, we informed you that from April onwards, only an exporter established in the European Union could be entered in box 2 of the export declaration. However, due to the corona crisis, it continues to be authorised to enter an exporter not based in the European Union, also after April 1, 2020.

After 1 April, you may continue to enter an exporter who is not established in the Union in box 2 of the export declaration. We allow this until 1 October 2020. From that date onwards, an exporter who meets the definition set out in the law must be entered.
