We may ask you for your bank account number. For example, if you receive a refund from us.
We may ask you to provide your bank account number a second time because we are not allowed to use the bank account number we already have. For example, when you receive a tax refund for the first time.
We may also ask you to provide your bank account number a second time because you have not received a tax refund on a bank account number for 36 months. This way we can be sure that the money reaches the right person and is deposited into the right account.
We only check a bank account number in case of a refund or rebate, not when you make a payment to us.
How you provide a bank account number depends on why you are providing it. In most cases, you can do this online.

Submit your bank account number as follows:- Log in to Mijn toeslagen with your DigiD.
