Within Dutch Customs, the Expertise Centre for Cross-Border Authorisations ('Expertisecentrum GrensOverschrijdende Vergunningen', ECGOV) is responsible for coordinating cross-border authorisations (apply customs procedures in more than one EU Member State).

Enter into an agreement with container terminals in Rotterdam for a smoother customs clearance when collecting container
In accordance with the customs authorisation of the container terminal, containers being unloaded in the port of Rotterdam are to be placed in a Temporary Storage Facility (TSF).
Costs with x-ray scan and inspection in the port of Rotterdam
Customs does not charge any costs for scanning and physically inspecting a container. However, actions tot make the scan or inspection by Customs possible, will be charged.
