    For which years am I allowed to submit my actual return?

    If you are eligible for submitting your actual return in Box 3 for 1 or multiple years, you will receive a letter starting October 2024. This letter does not yet state for which years you may report your actual return. The form to submit your actual return to us will be available from summer 2025. We will notify you about this.

    Do you already want to find out for which years you are eligible, or did you not receive a letter even though you believe you may submit your actual return? Check per year if you are eligible for submitting your actual return:

    • 2023

      You are eligible for 2023 if:

      • You filed a return for 2023, or
      • you received a final assessment for 2023.
    • 2022

      You are eligible for 2022 if:

      • You filed a return for 2022, or
      • you received a final assessment for 2022.
    • 2021

      You are eligible for 2021 if:

      • You filed a return for 2021, or
      • you received a final assessment for 2021.
    • 2020

      You are eligible for 2020 if:

      • You received a final assessment for 2020 on or after 24 December 2021, or
      • you received a final assessment for 2020 which was not yet conclusive on 24 December 2021 (for example, if you participated in the Massaal Bezwaar procedure).

      You must also have:

      • filed a request for an official review before the end of 2025.
    • 2019

      You are eligible for 2019 if

      • You received a final assessment for 2019 on or after 24 December 2019, or
      • you received a final assessment for 2019 which was not yet conclusive on 24 December 2021 (for example, if you participated in the Massaal Bezwaar procedure).

      You must also have:

      • Filed a request for an official review before the end of 2024. In October 2024, you received a letter on how to file a request for an official review.
    • 2018

      You are eligible for 2018 if:

      • You received a final assessment for 2018 on or after 24 December 2021, or
      • you received a final assessment for 2018 which was not yet conclusive on 24 December 2021 (for example, if you participated in the Massaal Bezwaar procedure).

      You must also have:

      • Filed a request for an official review before the end of 2023, and this appeal or request must not have been settled yet.
    • 2017

      You are eligible for 2017 if:

      • You received a final assessment for 2017 on or after 24 December 2021, or
      • you received a final assessment for 2017 which was not yet conclusive on 24 December 2021 (for example, if you participated in the Massaal Bezwaar procedure).

      You must also have:

      • Filed a request for an official review before the end of 2022, and this appeal or request must not have been settled yet.
