What happens if you accidentally pay to an ING bank account number after 1 May 2026?

If you accidentally transfer money to a bank account number of the Tax Administration with ING after 1 May 2026, that is not a problem. We will still receive your payment and make sure it is processed correctly. To prevent using an old bank account number, make sure that from 1 May 2026 the new bank account number is saved in your address book or records.

Do you pay by a standing order (periodieke overboeking)? Then change the bank account number for this as soon as possible as well.
