What happens if you accidentally pay to an ING bank account number after the switch to Rabobank?

Did you accidentally transfer money to an ING bank account number of the Tax Administration? When you were supposed to transfer that money to a Rabobank bank account number? That is not a problem. We will still receive your payment and make sure it is processed correctly.

You can prevent using a wrong bank account number by using the bank account number that is in the payment information (betaalinformatie) you received with your tax assessment (belastingaanslag) or bill.

Do you still have an old ING bank account number in the address book of your bank or in your records? Then make sure to update it as soon as you receive payment information from us showing the new Rabobank bank account number.

Do you pay by a standing order (periodieke overboeking)? Then update the bank account number for this as soon as you receive payment information from us showing the new Rabobank bank account number. Make sure to remove the old ING bank account number from your address book.

Please note!

At most banks, this means you will need to set up the standing order again.
