Conditions

With this form you can apply for an exemption from customs duties, turnover tax and bpm for a newly purchased motor vehicle.

In order to be eligible for this exemption from bpm, you must fulfil the following conditions:

  • You live in the Netherlands.
  • You buy a new passenger car or motorcycle in the Netherlands.
  • You move out of the Netherlands within 3 months of the purchase. If you live as a family, the other members of your family must move with you.
  • You remove the new passenger car or motorcycle from the Netherlands permanently and have it re-registered in the vehicle registration system in another country.

The exemption does not apply to motor vehicle tax. If you used the car in the Netherlands before your change of address, you will be liable for payment motorrijtuigenbelasting.

Please note!

If you receive exemption from bpm, the registration number issued by the RDW will have limited validity. If you or anyone else uses the car or motorcycle on the public road in the Netherlands after the period of validity has elapsed, bpm will have to be paid after all.
