Has your Box 3 income been lowered? Find out if you get more deductions
Did you report your actual return for 1 or more years? And did your Box 3 income for the period 2017-2024 become lower? Find out if you are entitled to (more) deductions for specific healthcare costs or gifts.
You may be entitled to deductions for specific healthcare costs or gifts
If your Box 3 income lowers, your income threshold also goes down. This in turn affects the threshold amount for deductions of specific healthcare costs (only available in Dutch) and the threshold amount for the deduction of gifts (only available in Dutch). Did you previously not have deductions because your income was too high? It is possible that the lowering of your Box 3 income now entitles you to deductions.
Report specific healthcare costs and gifts
If you previously did not exceed the threshold amount, you did not fill in the specific healthcare costs and gifts in your tax return. You can still report them to us. To do so, send a letter to your tax office (only available in Dutch). In the letter, state the amounts of the specific healthcare costs and gifts.
You don’t need to do anything to receive more deductions
Did you already have deductions of gifts or specific healthcare costs? Then this deduction becomes higher because your income threshold has lowered. We will automatically change it for your in your final assessment. Did you already receive a final assessment and are we reducing your assessment? In that case, you will receive a decision granting a reduction. You don’t need to do anything
