Old portal will close on 1 July 2024: switch to Mijn Belastingdienst Zakelijk (update: 4 April 2024)

On 1 July 2024, we will permanently close the old portal for entrepreneurs. All entrepreneurs and tax service providers who still use the old portal must switch to Mijn Belastingdienst Zakelijk, accounting software or a tax service provider.

eHerkenning available for companies and organisations without a Chamber of Commerce number

Entrepreneurs who are not registered with the Chamber of Commerce (KVK) were previously unable to apply for eHerkenning. That is why they were still using the old portal. With effect from 29 January 2024, almost all companies and organisations without a Chamber of Commerce number can apply for eHerkenning. And since 28 February 2024, eHerkenning is also available for fiscal unities for VAT.

Now that all entrepreneurs can switch to Mijn Belastingdienst Zakelijk, we will close the old portal on 1 July 2024. On 1 July 2024, the secure environment where entrepreneurs from outside the European Union (EU) submit a VAT declaration for the EU VAT One Stop Shop will also close.

Unfortunately, tax service providers without a KVK number, such as intermediaries established outside the Netherlands, currently cannot use chain authorisation to log in on behalf of a client. There are different ways to (temporarily) manage tax affairs for clients after 1 July 2024.

Compensation scheme

We are exploring the possibility of a compensation scheme for eHerkenning without KVK number. As soon as we know more, we will publish it on our website.

Filing a tax return in Mijn Belastingdienst Zakelijk

The VAT return, supplement and ICP declaration and the EU VAT declaration are already available on Mijn Belastingdienst Zakelijk. The forms for the dividend tax refund and the EU VAT declaration are also available in English.

And you do not have to wait until 1 July, because you can switch before that time. Apply for eHerkenning in time, as this process takes time.
