What does the switch mean for you?

The Tax Administration (Belastingdienst) switched from ING to Rabobank on 1 May 2026. That is why we have new account numbers with Rabobank. Do you need to make a payment? The payment information you receive with your tax assessment or bill will always include the correct bank account number.

Tip!

Check where you have saved our bank account numbers. For example, in your records or in your online banking address book. When you receive payment information from us with a new Rabobank bank account number, replace the old number right away.

What do you need to change for your payments because of the switch?

Do you pay by direct debit (automatische incasso)? Or with iDEAL | Wero via the Tax Administration portals (Belastingdienst-portalen)? Then you do not need to do anything.

If you pay in another way, you may need to take action. Read more at: Do you need to change anything when paying us because of the switch?

Tax refunds

From 1 May 2026, we will increasingly pay tax refunds (belastingteruggaven) to you from this new bank account number: NL04 RABO 0200 1122 44

Payments for provisional tax assessments

You can find when we pay you and from which bank account number at Betaaldatums voorlopige aanslag (Payment dates for provisional tax assessments, only available in Dutch).

Benefits payments

From June onwards, benefits (toeslagen) will be paid from the new bank account number: NL04 RABO 0200 1122 44.

You can read more about this at U krijgt uw toeslag vanaf juni van een ander rekeningnummer (only available in Dutch).

Watch out for phishing

Do you see a different bank account number and are you not sure if it is from us? Follow the steps at Scams and fake messages. Also always check that the bank account number appears on the list of all bank account numbers of the Tax Administration.
