Apply for tax return postponement 2021 – how to do it?

Whether you can get a postponement, depends on when your tax return has to be filed.

Your tax return should be filed before 1 July 2022

You can then no longer apply for a postponement. File your tax return as soon as possible.

Your tax return must be filed after 1 July 2022

You can apply for a postponement until the date on which we must receive your tax return. Your tax return letter will state when that is.

The procedure to apply for a postponement is as follows:

  1. Download the ‘Application tax return postponement’ form (only available in Dutch).
  2. Fill in the form on your computer and print it out.
Then you can be sure that you are passing on all the relevant information to us.
  3. Send the form by mail to the address indicated on the form.
