Apply for tax return postponement 2019 – how to do it?

Do apply before 1 May 2020

You will then be granted a postponement until 1 September 2020. You will receive a letter and confirmation from us within three weeks.
Are you a foreign taxpayer? In that case, you have to apply for a postponement before 1 July 2020 You will then be granted a postponement until 1 November 2020.

The procedure to apply for a postponement is as follows:

  1. Download the ‘Application tax return postponement’ form (only available in Dutch).
  2. Fill in the form on your computer and print it out.
    By doing so you can be sure to have included all the relevant information.
  3. Send it by mail to the address printed on the form.

To cushion the consequences of the coronavirus, we will be taking measuresOne of them is to temporarily lower the interest on tax to 0.01%. The reduction for income tax will come into effect on 1 July 2020. 

If we impose an assessment on you after 1 July 2020, you will pay 4% tax interest on it as of 1 July. Read more about this under Tax Interest (only available in Dutch).
