Report a suspicious app

Have you found an app that looks like it's from the Dutch Tax Administration (Belastingdienst), but you're not sure? It may be a fake app.

Only use apps from the official Dutch government.

Never enter your DigiD in an app you do not trust.

How to report a suspicious app

1. Take a screenshot of the app

   Take a screenshot of the app on your phone or tablet.

2. Collect the following information:

   • the name of the app
   • the app store where you downloaded it (Google Play, App Store, etc.)

3. Email this information

   Send an email to valse-email@belastingdienst.nl (Use this email address only for this purpose. Do not use it for tax-related questions.)

4. After you have reported the app, delete it

   Delete the app off your phone or tablet, after reporting it.

What happens after you report the app?

• You will receive a confirmation that your message has been received.
• We will investigate and take action if needed.
• Because we receive many reports, we cannot respond personally.
