Report a suspicious phone call or letter
Have you received a phone call or letter from someone claiming to be the Dutch Tax Administration (Belastingdienst)? It may be a scam.
We sometimes call or send letters. But we never:
- ask for payment details over the phone without checking your identity
- threaten you with penalties if you do not pay immediately
- ask for personal details without proper verification
Still unsure if the contact was real? Report it.
