Automated Export System (AES) changes on 15 December

The Automated Export System (AES) will change on 15 December 2025 at 12:00 am (midnight). This happens because the European Union (EU) will move from the AES Transition Period to the AES Post-Transition Period.From that date, all EU Member States (lidstaten) will work under the AES Post-Transition rules. These changes are needed to make that possible.

From 1 December 2025, you will only be able to make ENS declarations via ICS2

Do you bring goods from outside the EU into the European Customs Union? Then you will have to deal with Import Control System 2 (ICS2), the new declaration system for the Entry process. From 1 December 2025, you will no longer be able to submit Entry Summary Declarations (ENS) via ICS1 (DMF). This will only be possible via ICS2.

From 1 July 2024 you will no longer be able to file declarations in AGS

From 1 July 2024 you will no longer be able to file new declarations in AGS. There are 2 exemptions: for Entry of Data in the Declarant's Records (EIDR) authorisation holders and for declarations up to € 1.000 in Venue.
